Full Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced take-away cafe owner/operations manager who will plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of a take-away food business , while also focusing on delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

Oversee all aspects of the take-away operations, including food preparation, cooking, packaging, and delivery.

Ensure that food is prepared and served in compliance with health and safety standards, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices.

Monitor inventory levels and order supplies to maintain adequate stock levels while minimizing waste and controlling costs.

Develop and implement efficient workflows and procedures to optimize productivity and minimize wait times for customers.

Staff Management:

Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff members, including cooks, kitchen assistants, and delivery drivers.

Schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours while controlling labor costs.

Provide ongoing training and performance feedback to improve employee skills and customer service.

Customer Service:

Ensure excellent customer service by maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and professionalism.

Address customer complaints and concerns promptly and effectively, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of the customer.

Monitor customer feedback and implement changes to improve the overall dining experience.

Menu Development and Quality Control:

Work with the chef or kitchen staff to develop and update the menu based on customer preferences, market trends, and seasonal availability of ingredients.

Ensure that food is prepared and presented according to established standards of quality, taste, and portion size.

Conduct regular quality control checks to maintain consistency and meet customer expectations.

Delivery Operations:

Coordinate delivery operations, including dispatching orders, managing delivery drivers, and optimizing delivery routes.

Monitor delivery times and ensure that orders are delivered promptly and accurately.

Implement systems for tracking delivery performance and resolving issues such as late deliveries or order errors.

Financial Management:

Monitor expenses, control costs, and optimize pricing strategies to maximize profitability.

Track sales and revenue, prepare budgets, and forecast future performance.

Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation of sales transactions.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and food service regulations, including permits, licenses, and inspections.

Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices to minimize legal risks and liabilities.

Maintain a safe working environment for employees and customers, including proper equipment maintenance and emergency preparedness.

Continuous Improvement:

Seek feedback from customers and employees to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.

Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and emerging consumer preferences to remain competitive in the market.

Continuously evaluate and refine operational processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.Skills:
- Proven experience in food production, kitchen management, and culinary arts
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise staff
- Excellent knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred,

  • Restaurant management: 1 year (preferred)

  • Customer service: 2 years (preferred)

  • Management: 2 years (preferred)
