Full Job Description

With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to be involved with the following:

  • You will be responsible to check that finished components meet quality standards/drawing requirements.

  • Able to read and interpret manufacturing engineering drawings, technical instructions and written specifications.

  • Maintains equipment and ensures all tools are in calibration. - Follows all nuclear, fire and conventional health, safety and environmental procedures and regulations

  • Works closely with manufacturing engineering on design and manufacturability issues.

  • Deliver right first-time quality for each operation and also sets up and operates conventional and CNC plant and equipment according to job provided.

  • Ability to perform your role to the best of your ability in an ever-changing environment.

  • Confident communication skills and experience of team working. - Ability to project a positive 'can do' attitude to deliver on objectives and commitments.

  • Candidate will need to have experience in 3, 4 & 5 axis machining and be level 3 qualified in engineering or hold an equivalent qualification.

  • Experience operating WFL or HERMLE CNC machines on Siemens Sinumerik 840D sl operating system would be advantageous, also experience in programming and NPI.

  • Have a desire to grow and learn new skills.

Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don't currently already have this in place.     Machinists play a key role in setting machines, performing machine operations on unique materials and inspecting components to drawing requirements for both manual and CNC machining activities.
