The Communications Team has big ambitions to support the Trust in delivering its vision of being a national and international leader in healthcare, rooted in our communities, and to meet the needs of our diverse audiences.
As well as managing our talented team to deliver meaningful outcomes, this role will be at the forefront of our strategic projects and campaigns and will help lead our Communications offer into a new era., Not much happens across University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust without the knowledge and support of the Communications Team. We have a broad remit of ensuring patients, colleagues and stakeholders understand the services provided by the Trust, are aware of our vision and values and are well informed and engaged about our ongoing journey.
The Communications Manager, as a valued partner and trusted advisor, will support this by planning, implementing and evaluating the impact of our work, helping to drive and further enhance the quality and creativity of everything we do. Your work spans across two hospitals and our communities to support wards, services and departments in creating compelling content and campaigns.
You will use change communications best practice and work alongside leaders to shape and deliver transformational, value add projects and strategies that make a positive difference. + Responsible for sourcing and commissioning work/resources to support communication and engagement activities, ensuring budgets and timescales are met. Implement policies and propose changes as appropriate.
+ Lead in the development, implementation and evaluation of communications, consultation and engagement strategies for digital, change and transformation programmes
+ Commission, develop and coordinate creative, accurate and effective communications materials for a range of audiences to support the delivery of corporate campaigns and projects aligned to the Organisational Strategy.
+ Help to raise the profile of core organisational focus areas including UHCWi (the way we support staff in making incremental improvements with the focus on putting patients first) and our Waste Reduction Programme.
+ Talk openly and honestly about the kind of organisation we aspire to be, the standards we set and hold ourselves accountable to, constructive changes we need to make and challenges we face.
