Full Job Description

As a Barclays Data Analytics Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing and supporting a variety of technical teams ensuring delivery of service excellence to all Management, Stakeholders, Regulators and Legal Authorities through the solid leadership and performance management of a team within a highly regulated and audited function. You will also support all staff within the area embracing all challenges, self-motivating and driving performance within Financial Crime Screening., At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, 'anchor', days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). What will you be doing?

  • Communicating the performance development planning process for your people, agreeing challenging performance objectives and measures.

  • Promoting training of new and existing colleagues to upskill and invest

  • Being responsible for challenging sickness and timekeeping, ensuring attendance levels and ineffective behaviours are immediately addressed

  • Taking responsibility for supporting operational leads in ensuring compliance to all team objectives and controls

  • Driving effective working partnership with colleagues across Financial Crime Screening, Compliance and all key stakeholders

  • Identifying and implement opportunities to improve quality and error rates

  • Being responsible for management of resource requirements and recruitment of colleagues as necessary

  • Monitoring current work position in order to meet demanding deadlines and Service Level Agreements

    Excellent task and time management, organisational and administrative skills

  • Ability to develop and contribute to short-term and long-term plans that outline the practical steps needed to meet the bank's objectives and strategy

  • Proficient with IT and PC systems such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Focus, initiative and flexibility and being prepared to undertake a variety of assignments as required by a fast-growing area
