Grounds Maintenance Operative

As a Grounds Maintenance Operative your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Grass cutting (mowing and strimming)


• Attending to flower beds


• Hedge cutting


• Hoeing and general weed control


• Litter and leaf collection


• Cemetery work (including some hand grave digging)


• Assist with tree and arboriculture work


• Miscellaneous work in emergency situations

• Flexible approach to work and positive attitude towards delivering services to the community


• A driving licence is essential for driving to site, mowers and tractors


• Trailer towing entitlement will be advantageous


• Knowledge of horticultural work; grass cutting, strimming and machinery used, A satisfactory basic disclosure check and three years complete employment history will be requested in the event of you being offered the position.
