Group Tax Manager

We are looking for an experienced, qualified tax professional to work within an established in-house tax team. Reporting to the Head of Tax, in this role you will manage the compliance and reporting for the group as well as support on a variety of ad-hoc advisory projects. You will have the opportunity to utilise your current skill set and pick up new knowledge. This role would suit those who have already worked in-house or those in practice looking to make their first move into industry., Your responsibilities will include:

• Management of corporate tax reporting and compliance computations including group external reporting, company business plans and regulatory plans and accounts


• Assist Head of Tax and legal team on a wide variety of transactions


• Prepare communication on the impact on changes in tax legislation and tax accounting for the Board and identify opportunities which will optimise tax efficiencies


• Management of external advisors in supporting with capital allowance and R&D claims


• Tax modelling and forecasting tax payable and profits / losses as required


• Contribute and assist with systems implementation and integration of new technology solutions and processes


• To provide ad hoc advice to the business, as required


• Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) reporting


• Deputise for Head of Tax as necessary
  
  Proven experience in corporate tax for large companies and consolidated groups


• You will be ACA or ACCA qualified and / or CTA qualified


• A strong UK tax technical skillset


• Good tax accounting knowledge and experience of reporting under IFRS


• Strong knowledge of capital allowances


• Knowledge of excel and an interest / enthusiam in tax technology
