Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit a pro-active, enthusiastic, HR assistant to join our head office team on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent. This individual needs to be able to prioritise a heavy workload and become a part of a growing business. Ideally you will have a minimum of 3 years' experience, in a similar admin role. This role is to cover maternity leave however the role comes with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.,

  • Perform general office duties, including answering telephones, managing emails and handling correspondence.

  • Administering the company onboarding and leaver processes, including producing contracts of employment, ensuring that the correct paperwork is provided and received, conducting right to work checks, and issuing mandatory eLearning.

  • · Processing competency checks on site workers to ensure they have the correct tickets.

  • Manage and keep a up to date training matrix.

  • Issuing HR documentation to employees as and when required.

  • Providing accurate payroll information for the accounts team.

  • Inputting accurate payroll hours on a weekly basis for our self-employed employees.

  • Answering and solving payroll queries.

  • Coordinating the recruitment process including posting vacancies, arranging interviews and selection processes, and communicating with candidates.

  • Administering the company absence process, updating management of who is off.

  • Organise and book occupational health medicals when required.

  • Maintain our companies HR database, BrightHR.

  • Taking accurate meeting minutes.

  • Help organise and execute training and development programs.

  • Coordinate and schedule employee inductions, ensuring all necessary arrangements are made for employees to work on client sites.

  • Liaise with clients to confirm induction details and requirements.

    Proficient IT skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular strong Excel skills.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proven experience as an HR Assistant or in a similar administrative role., Administrative: 3 years (preferred)

    Job Types: Full-time, 12-Month Contract (Maternity cover, potential for extension)

    Salary: Negotiable dependent on experience.

    Schedule: Monday to Friday
