Full Job Description

We are looking to appoint an outgoing, detail-oriented and enthusiastic person to join our Nature Recovery Team, based at our Gosforth HQ as Local Sites Officer. The post, funded for 12 months, will assist Northumberland Wildlife Trust and the Local Sites Partnership in updating our understanding of the habitats found on Local Wildlife and Geological Sites (LWGS) in Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland, and build on the evidence database for the LWGS system.

Duties involve overseeing and delivering an intensive survey effort for Local Wildlife & Geological Sites (LWGS) in Northumberland, Newcastle and North Tyneside. Updating the existing LWGS database with information generated from survey, and from digitised historic paper.

The role is for 35 hours per week on a 12 month contract. NWT operates a flexitime system.

The salary range is £25,309 per annum.
