This is a fixed term/ secondment post for 12 months to cover maternity leave.

If you are a Swansea Bay University Health Board employee this post will only be offered on a secondment basis and you will need to have gained your line managers approval for the secondment prior to going to interview.

An exciting opportunity for a talented pharmacist has arisen to join the senior pharmacy team within Morriston Hospital. We are looking for an experienced hospital pharmacist who has a proven track record in innovation and developing clinical pharmacy services, with experience of managing and leading pharmacy teams.

As part of the senior team, this role will have responsibility for leading the pharmacy service to medicine which has a large team and range of clinical services to areas including ED, admissions and a new frailty unit.

The post holder will work closely with the Acute Site Pharmacy Manager and the rest of the senior team to develop strategies to deliver outstanding pharmaceutical care, and support the roll out and delivery of a number of exciting developments including:

A new pharmacy service to the frailty unit involving supporting the development of a prescribing pharmacist role as part of the MDT.

An exciting opportunity to expand the service to ED with an ED pharmacist and technician.

In this exciting role , opportunities to further develop in clinical, management and leadership skills will be offered to the successful candidate.

The role will manage, lead and develop a talented pharmacy team which includes a number of lead pharmacists and senior technicians.. The successful candidate will require outstanding communication, interpersonal and influencing skills. They will also need to demonstrate the ability to work flexibly and to succeed in this role be a strong team player., The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
