Full Job Description

Job Overview: The Teaching Assistant Apprentice will support the delivery of educational programmes and classroom management, assisting teachers in creating a supportive, structured, and inclusive learning environment. The role aims to foster the academic and social development of students, adhering to E2's commitment to safety, inclusivity, and excellence in education.,

  • Assist in the preparation and setting up of activities for lessons.

  • Work under the direction of the classroom teacher to support student learning and engagement in educational activities.

  • Monitor and support individual and group activities.

  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment in line with E2's Health & Safety and Safeguarding Policies.

  • Assist with the management of class behaviour, utilising appropriate behaviour management strategies as detailed in the Behaviour Policy.

  • Help with the preparation and maintenance of classroom resources and materials.

  • Support the teacher in monitoring and recording student progress.

  • Attend and participate in scheduled training sessions and meetings.

  • Uphold E2's policies regarding Data Protection and confidentiality., The Apprentice will be enrolled in a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification course, supported by E2. Continuous professional development will be supported through workshops, mentoring, and reflective practice as outlined in the New Staff Volunteer Induction Checklist and Training policies.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Good communication skills, capable of interacting positively with students, staff, and parents.

  • Willingness to adhere to all school policies, including Safeguarding, Health and Safety, and Data Protection Policies.

  • No previous experience required as full training will be provided., Minimum GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English, Grade C or above.

  • Successful completion of a DBS check.

  • Aged between 16 - 19

  • English and Maths (Level 2 Equivalent - however not compulsory)

  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills

  • Passion for making a difference in the community

  • Be committed to completing a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship

    Fixed-term contract linked to the duration of the apprenticeship program, with potential for extension or progression within E2 upon successful completion.

  • Term-time only working hours as specified in the Statement of Particulars.
