Livability Spinal Injury Centre Livability Holton Lee, East Holton, Holton Heath, Poole, Dorset BH16 6JN is a 13 bedded specialist service for individuals with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) at Livability’s new innovative service in Dorset. The Centre is located in the heart of Livability Holton Lee - a well-being discovery centre set in 350 acres of beautiful Dorset countryside that provides people of all abilities opportunities to develop physical, spiritual and mental well-being.

During time-limited stays at the Livability SCI Support Centre, the aim is to maintain and enhance well-being, independence and life opportunities for people with SCI. We now have an exciting opportunity for you to come and join us.

You will need a Level 5 Diploma in Care and Management or equivalent qualification.

You will be working rotational shifts over 24 hours. Additional enhancement rate is payable for hours worked between 10pm and 7am plus Bank holidays.

With a focus on equipping people with SCI to manage life back home in their community, the service will support people to:

• maintain and further improve health and functional outcomes

• access appropriate housing

• engage in meaningful recreational activities both on site and in their own local area

• engage in vocational opportunities and transition back to employment where possible

• re-adjust psychologically, socially and economically to the effects of their SCI.

The service will be provided in a domestic style, person-centred atmosphere. It will allow service users to explore the limits and possibilities of their situation in a safe and stimulating environment. Features include fully accessible single en-suite rooms, an independence kitchen, and indoor therapy space together with vocational and recreational opportunities on and off site.

If you wish to play a leading part in this new and innovative development for people with SCI and would like further information about the role, please contact Martin De St Aubin on the details found once pressing apply or for more information and to apply, please click on the apply button.
