Specialist Instructional Officer (SIO)
At the Defence School of Communications Information Systems (DSCIS) in Blandford we deliver high quality training in Defence Telecommunications and Information Systems to Systems Managers, Engineers and Operators. Currently working with the Royal Corps of Signals as our primary customer, we have an exciting future as a Tri-Service Defence School. Successful applicants will be responsible for delivering a wide range of Information Systems (IS), Information Technology (IT) and Specialist communications training
We are seeking self-motivated and suitably experienced Telecommunications and IS/IT personnel to join our mixed team of Military and MoD Civilian IT Trainers.
The ideal candidate should have five years' experience in their respective fields. Professional development in training delivery, coaching, and mentoring is available for successful
candidates. However candidates will be expected to deliver a short training related presentation and sit a short trade related examination or test during the interview process.
This is a fixed term appointment as a MoD Civilian Trainer for up to 23 months from date of appointment. This is due to a review of civilian structures/implementation of the Strategic
Defence and Security Review (SDSR) which may lead to organisational restructuring.
