Trainee Water Hygiene Engineer - Field Based
Field Based (covering the South-West of England, with some travel to visit customers throughout the UK)
Up to £22,000 DOE Plus Overtime, Company Vehicle, 20 Days' Holiday (rising with service) + Bank Holidays

With 17 years of success under their belt, our client is an expanding water treatment and legionella control company. Due to continuous growth, they are now looking for a Trainee Water Hygiene Engineer to join their team.

As a Trainee Water Hygiene Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out tasks for the prevention and control of legionnaires' disease at customer sites across the UK. Primarily, you'll provide services to customers within the South-West of England.

Travelling to customer sites, you will inspect, carry out cleaning and disinfectant-related tasks on cold water storage tanks, pipework and showerheads. You'll test the temperature of water, perform calorifier inspections and take water samples.

Completing on-site log books and job sheets while on site and effectively communicating with customers in a clear, professional manner, you will also take ownership of any issues as they arise and use your initiative to effectively resolve problems.

As part of your role, you will be required to attend our client's office in Thornbury several times per week. Due to this requirement, candidates must live within a commutable distance of Thornbury, which is easily accessible from the A38, M48, M5 and about 40 minutes (by car) from Bristol or Newport.

- At a minimum, GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths, at grade C or above
- A full driving licence

Mechanically-minded and focused, as a Trainee Water Hygiene Engineer, you'll be able to work unsupervised and on your own initiative. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are also key.
