Job Overview

  • The DXC Defence Training Services team manages learning and training environments for the British Army. With over 800 classrooms across 54 sites and mobile and remote capabilities, the team is multi-skilled and highly customer-focused.

  • The ACII Classroom Engineer is responsible for building, implementing, and supporting changes within the ACII Classroom environment, plus providing support to MOD's own support staff where required.

  • The role encompasses 2nd line activities plus the opportunity for some 1st line.

  • The Computer-Aided Instruction classroom environment uses specialized furniture designed for the variety of training carried out and encompasses classrooms used radio training, Virtual Battlefield Simulation within command-and-control training, and generic classrooms.


  • Essential skills:
  • SCCM

  • Wintel experience - Microsoft Windows Server 2012/ 2016 Windows 10, Active Directory, Citrix, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy,

  • Environmental Support to Networks

  • McAfee EPO, Veritas, Hyper-V, VMware

  • Hands-on knowledge of the procedures used in the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of IT hardware and software

  • System roll-out experience


  • Desirable Skills:
  • HPE Proliant hardware
