Full Job Description

  • Bookkeeping from client records to produce VAT returns

  • Assistance with preparation of annual accounts and working papers to an excellent standard, for approval by the manager/partner overseeing the assignment

  • Assistance with ad hoc accounts analysis work as and when required

  • Assistance with completion of self assessment returns, income & expenditure and rental accounts work for individuals and partnerships

  • Basic working knowledge of Xero, Sage, TASBooks and/or Taxcalc (training to be provided where necessary)

  • To respect client confidentiality and report any issues which may affect client relationships to the senior/manager overseeing the assignment

  • Office timesheets to update on a weekly basis

  • Ad hoc administrative duties such as answering the phone, filing and general office duties when required, We are based in West Bromwich, we have good transport links but please ensure you can make the travel daily, especially if using public transport.

    Communication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Problem solving skills, Administrative skills, Number skills, Analytical skills, Logical, Team working, Initiative, GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4/C) Essential

    • GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4/C) Essential
    A Level or equivalent Accountancy (Grade Level 2) Essential
