Accounts Assistant

· Process purchase orders from purchase requisitions ensuring they are authorised in line with the DOAG and that the supplier is approved on BUUK Comply system.

· Ensure purchase invoices match to purchase orders and are approved before inclusion in payment run to ensure only goods and services properly received are paid for.

· Raise sales invoices including monitoring invoices promptly and in accordance with customer order or contract to ensure the debt is subsequently collectable.

· Chase outstanding debtors escalating as appropriate where issues arise to optimise cashflow management.

· Deal with customer queries, raising approved credit notes, promptly to keep our customers service levels maintained.

· Full time salary for this position is £25,630.00 which is pro rata to £15,378.00 working 22.5hrs.

· Experience in SAGE 50, and Excel to intermediate level.

· Experience in Sales and Purchase ledgers.

· Experience with MS Office products.

· Excellent interpersonal skills.

· Organised, self-motivated and focused.

· Adaptable to change and taking on new tasks.

· Works well across teams and independently.
