Full Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Assistant to join our team. As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the field of accounting., · Inputting of purchase invoices onto Sage

· Processing payment of purchase invoices onto Sage for the weekly payment run

· Matching receipts to the credit card statement

· Processing receipts onto Sage from the credit card statement

· Occasionally raising sales invoices

· Raising storage charge invoices

· Updating excel spreadsheets

· Processing weekly meal allowances on Sage (POA)

· Monthly supplier statement reconciliation

· Filing of invoices

· Processing of Holiday spreadsheet

· Covering some duties for Accounts Manager whilst their on annual leave

· Processing of sub-contractors invoices & logging them under the right project number

Other ad hoc administrative duties to support the business as required

· Must be experienced in Microsoft packages including: Excel, Word and Outlook

· Proficient in Sage - experience of Sage Projects would be advantageous

· Excellent attention to detail and administrative experience

· Good customer service skills and comfortable with answering incoming calls

· Highly organised and adopts a pro active approach with the ability to use own initiative to drive tasks to completion and able to make decisions

· Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask when needed

During busier times, extra hours may be required to support the department and wider business
