This post would be suitable as a stand-alone fellowship, as out-of-programme experience or as a post-CCT fellowship. St Michael's NICU was rated in the top quartile (dark green) of neonatal placements for clinical experience, curriculum coverage and overall satisfaction on the 2018 GMC survey and the unit has a strong ethos of inclusion and development of our staff., welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. Applicants should have a minimum of 12 months experience at ST6+/Senior SpR level or equivalent in neonatal medicine, be registered with the GMC and eligible to work in the UK., This is an exciting opportunity for a one year fellowship for a suitably qualified candidate to enhance their experience in tertiary level neonatal intensive care and to develop skills in research, improvement methodologies, clinical leadership and/or education. The post includes a substantial proportion of flexible and dedicated time for development in these areas, and fellows will be supported to develop these interests and contribute to enhancement of neonatal care within the department and the wider network.
