Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for caring, compassionate and talented Advanced Support Workers, to work within a well-established service, supporting 1 gentleman.
The property is a one-bedroom bungalow with a enclosed garden. Situated off the road on the grounds of Lifeways. The neighbouring properties are also supported living. A large car park is at the side of the property with ample parking.
The service runs on a 2:1 support during the day, and lone working at night. During the week, shifts are 7am - 9.45am and 3.30pm - 9.30pm, following by night shift, 9.30pm - 9.45am. At the weekend, shifts are 8am - 8pm and 8pm - 8am.

It is a small team at Church court and aim to provide the highest standard of support, we are outgoing and deal with any issues with a "can-do" approach.

The person we support is looking for someone who is calm and not loud, enjoys long walks, being outdoors, willing to learn and get to know the gentleman supported, reliable, someone who can work in a team and is able to contribute to seeking new activities.
The current vacancy is full time, working 37.5 hours per week.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 in Social Care and strong experience in autism and sensory communication, and physical health.

If you do not have a qualification, you will need to have experience in social care.

You will know how to connect with people and be passionate about supporting people to live independently. You will also be a brilliant mentor and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues.

All staff are highly trained in a person-centred training which is, Positive Behaviour Support, Active Support, Sensory Needs Awareness, Autism Awareness and medication training along with a wide range of other training relevant to your role as an advanced support worker.

During recruitment you will meet the people we support in their home. This will allow you to see their wonderful personalities first-hand and fully understand the level of support that they require.
