Full Job Description

1. Session delivery

· Delivery of adventure sessions to customers in one or more of the following: Coasteering, Kayaking, Surfing, Climbing, Stand Up Paddle Boarding.

· Delivery of educational school sessions with a focus on nature connection and resilience

· Course directing for school groups and liaising with teachers during residential trips

· Attend the morning briefing

· Driving groups and equipment to the activity sites using company vehicles and trailers (21 and over)

2. Training, Safety & Compliance

· Conducting kit checks and maintenance of adventure kit and vehicles as requested by the Operations Manager

· Participate in the TYF Guide Training programme

3. Customer experience

· Ensure that customer experience is at the heart of everything you and your team deliver to the highest standard

· Ensure that you and your team project a professional and positive approach to all aspects of customer service, maximising guest satisfaction to encourage word-of-mouth referrals, Trip Advisor reviews and repeat bookings

4. Programme development

· Working with the Operations Manager and Director to plan and organise activity programmes and produce educational materials

· Working with the wider team to enhance current activities and develop new ones

5. Other responsibilities

· Attend training courses to keep qualifications up to date

· Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be requested

· Engage with and develop an understanding of environmental issues

· Maintaining a positive image of the brand at all times

· Seek out opportunities for your own development through the Performance and Development Review (appraisal) to learn new skills

· Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work

· Have the ability to be flexible in working hours (including weekends and some evenings)

6. Sustainability and Impact

· Be an ambassador for TYF's mission and positive change

· Ensure that ethical and sustainability practices are considered through all decision-making

· Carry out tasks required with as minimal environmental impact as possible and work with TYF to ensure a net positive social and environmental impact is achieved across all responsibilities.

Hold a portfolio of NGB awards, in two or more of the following:

· RCI

· Paddlesports Touring Leader or Sea Kayak Leader

· ASI Level 1 or equivalent surf qualification / experience

· A stand-up paddleboard qualification (ideally BC Coastal SUP Leader)

· NCC Coasteering Guide Award

- Full UK Driving Licence

- Hold a current DBS (dated within the last two years) or update service.

- Level 1 Safeguarding Qualification

- 16hr First Aid

Nestled in the heart of Pembrokeshire TYF goes beyond the ordinary residential activity centres by integrating Adventure Education into our school's programs and our tourism activities. Adventure Education at TYF is more than just adrenaline-pumping activities; it's a holistic approach that combines outdoor adventures with experiential learning, fostering personal growth, environmental awareness, and a lifelong love for adventure.

· Full-time fixed-term contract between April 15th and August 31st (With the potential to extend into September and October)

· 40 hours per week (annualised hours)
