ADVISER - INDEPENDENT LIVING (DIRECT PAYMENTS)

We have a vacancy for an Adviser - Independent Living in our Direct Payment Support Service which works with disabled and older people in Wiltshire to enable them to employ their own Personal Assistants to meet their care needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a team that promotes disabled and older people having choice, independence, and control over their lives. You will support direct payment recipients to lead independent lives through choosing their type of care, including successfully employing their own Personal Assistants providing them with information and advice in budgeting, employment rights, recruitment, payroll, processing DBS checks and how to be a good employer.,

• Be a people person with great listening and communication skills who can work with all sorts of people.


• Have a background in working in social care.


• Be passionate about working with and supporting people to live their good lives.


• Have an eye for detail and be organised.


• Be able to organise and prioritise your time managing a case load.


• Have sound IT skills and be able to keep accurate records.


You will be based in our Devizes office, working across Wiltshire, visiting people in their homes. You will be part of a friendly, supportive, and hard-working team.
