Apprentice Crane Service Engineer

Are you interested in following an apprenticeship where you will gain both mechanical and electrical qualifications in a niche industry, where after 3 years of study and on the job training you will qualify as a Crane Service Engineer with NVQ Level 3 and no two days are the same? Are you happy to work at height? If this sounds like you then please read on.

We are looking for two apprentices to join our friendly and supportive engineering team. Based at our head office in Bristol you will develop the skills that you need to become a qualified engineer whilst studying for NVQ Maintenance & Operations Engineering Technician at City of Bristol College Advanced Engineering Centre.

Initially based in our workshop and working with our engineering team, you will learn how to build, install, commission, maintain, fault find and repair lifting equipment and overhead gantry cranes. Over the course of your apprenticeship, you will develop the skills to work independently visiting our customer sites to provide the essential support services that they require.

To be considered for this apprenticeship you should demonstrate:

• · GCSEs at Grade 4 or above must include Mathematics, English and Science.


• · A keen interest in engineering.


• · A commitment to completing your studies.


• · Ideal but not essential a full, clean driving licence.
