BAM Nuttall are looking to recruit a motivated individual to join our Calder Valley Delivery team as an Apprentice Document Controller. Being part of this team, you will play a key part in delivering civil engineering projects on behalf of the Environment Agency which will provide critical flood alleviation works across the Calder Valley region. You will be required to work out of our Brighouse Office.

Your mission

As an Apprentice Document Controller, you will be responsible for the following:



  • Establish and maintain computer and paper-based document filing systems.


  • Review and distribute documents in line with agreed departmental procedures.


  • Maintain accurate computer and paper-based records, logging distributed documents.


  • Process responses to documents issued.


  • Chase responses to documents issued where required.


  • Administer requests for information.


  • Conduct periodic archiving.


  • Remain up to date with all company policies and procedures, industry legislation and guidance applicable to your subject field.

    Someone who knows their own mind and isn't afraid to have an opinion. Someone who's genuinely curious. You'll give the role your all and will fundamentally be hungry to learn and most importantly willing to take the first step into a life changing career.

    Preferably someone who is able to demonstrate knowledge of operating IT systems, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
