Assistant Estimator

Reporting to the Senior Estimator and supporting the wider work winning team, you will be a valued member of a fast-paced, forward-thinking and motivated team, supporting and assisting with the delivery of accurate tender bids.,

• Managing Documentation and enquiry information


• Subcontract Enquiries

+ Sending out specialist subcontract enquiries under the guidance of peers but progressing to do so independently,Liaising with sub-contractors for rates/price returns and Keep up to date database of Sub-contractors.

• Taking Off and Measurement

+ Learn/Develop skills on CAD Based Software and Train Junior Estimator

• Pricing And Billing

+ Learn and develop knowledge of core materials and costs, implement and develop knowledge of build ups in rates using Conquest pricing/Billing Software and develop Skills in producing Bills of quantities abstracted from tender drawings

• Communication

+ Commmunicate with all departments involves within the business, in particular, those key to the estimating department and Develop relationships with Clients, sub-contractors and suppliers.

The applicant will have a minimum of 1-2 years experience in the construction industry in a Junior/Assistant Estimator level Role or a similar commercial role/environment., We are looking for candidates with excellent IT skills in Microsoft Office and specifically Excel. Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines. Self-motivated but works well in a team. Previous use of on-screen/CAD-based measurement software.
