We are committed to excellence and innovation, and we are looking for a driven, collegiate, and knowledgeable professional to join our Global Insurance and Risk Management (GIRM) team.

Primary Role:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Global Insurance and Risk Management in supporting the ongoing development, evolution and management our Global Risk Financing Strategy.

  • Manage our global insurance programs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and compliance with global regulations.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in global insurance and risk management, providing guidance and support across the organisation.

  • Lead in overseeing/ managing significant insurance programs, including Global Cyber Liability and Directors & Officers (D&O) Liability.

  • Mentor and support team members within the GIRM department., Oversee and enhance the performance of appointed brokers according to service level agreements.

  • Manage global insurance program queries and financial issues, particularly for our operations in Japan.

  • Project manage tenders for brokers and critical GIRM suppliers, including negotiations and implementations.

  • Develop and implement a global premium allocation process in compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Manage and lead specific relationships with global insurers, brokers, and digital platform suppliers, and handle reinsurance agreements.

  • Provide strategic support on insurance, indemnification, and risk management within the Centre of Excellence.

    Experienced in an insurance risk management role, preferably in the life sciences sector.

  • Comprehensive understanding of global insurance programs, market dynamics, and legislative compliance.

  • Strong project management, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Qualifications from the Association of Chartered Insurance Institute or equivalent educational background.

  • Willingness for international travel as needed.
