As the Bid Content Manager for the UK & Ireland, playing a key role in delivering Roche's bid content strategy is crucial. You are part of the 'Knowledge Management' team in the Commercial Bids & Proposals department. Working with colleagues across the Roche business to deliver commercial opportunities to achieve the company's business plan.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Bid Content Manager to join our Sales and Account Management group at a world-leading company in biotech and medical diagnostics. This role is instrumental in supporting the development of business opportunities across the UK and Ireland by maintaining and expanding a comprehensive database of pre-written content for high-quality proposals and tender responses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Management: Develop and maintain a tender library from a database of pre-written content to support Roche's strategic goals. Ensure the moderation of this library to meet company standards and maintain data integrity.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, especially marketing, to stay informed about new products, services, and portfolio changes. Facilitate a community of practice for content management amongst subject matter experts.

  • Innovation: Utilise innovative tools, including Generative AI, to enhance tender response quality. Identify opportunities for process improvement and share best practices with the team.

  • Training & Support: Review the structure of the knowledge base, monitor content expiry, and provide training on the tender management tool to ensure end-user proficiency.


  • Who You Are:
  • Educational Background: A-level in English/Maths or an equivalent higher education qualification. APMP Foundation Certification is desirable but not essential.

  • Experience: Previous experience in pathology and a track record of producing high-quality written documentation. Familiarity with Google and Microsoft Office products is required.

  • Skills: Engaging and managing subject matter experts (SMEs) for content updates. Competence in analysing tenders/RFPs to enrich the answer library. Experience in implementing knowledge bases and using proposal automation, AI tools, and database solutions is preferred.

  • Attributes: Excellent communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and natural collaboration abilities. Must be able to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.


  • Location & Travel:

    This position is location-agnostic within the Commercial Bids & Proposals department. Attendance at our Burgess Hill headquarters for meetings and tender-related activities is required.
