Full Job Description

Mount St Mary's College and Barlborough Hall School are seeking a Billing Officer to take the lead in ensuring the school's pupil billing systems and records are up to date whilst taking a proactive approach to credit control and reporting of issues. The Billing Officer will produce timely bills within set deadlines to ensure prompt payment of school fees each term. The role will also be the main point of contact for billing enquiries, therefore excellent communication skills are essential.

We are looking for someone who has a real can-do attitude and is confident about gathering facts and statistics and undertaking financial calculations. Having excellent IT skills, with a specific focus on Excel and databases, you will have the ability and knowledge to produce reports and data in line with tight deadlines. This role is proactive and you will be required to analyse and interpret information in order to identify gaps in systems and provide solutions for improvement. With a flexible and adaptable approach to tasks, you will be involved in working with other departments to support the overall objectives of the school.

You will need an eye for numerical and analytical detail and working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office and financial reporting and independent school billing systems. Relevant experience of debtor management and working in a similar Finance position is essential. The role may suit candidates with a previous background in Accounts Receivable or Credit Control. This is a great opportunity for the right individual to be part of our vibrant co-educational day and boarding schools in the Jesuit tradition, catering for the needs of children aged 3-18 from all denominations in a truly ecumenical and happy environment. The School values diversity and strives to promote equality at all levels, including its employees, students and customers. Applications are welcome from all sections of the Community.
