Full Job Description

To oversee the operation of the Bio Systems shifts and its associated equipment, so as to achieve maximum plant availability and productivity during the shifts. Main aspects of the job function are to ensure that waste throughput is safely controlled to company operational procedures and legislative guidelines. Supervision and control of the shifts to ensure that the processing of clinical waste is in compliance with licence conditions and company procedures and instructions.

Key Job Activities:

Working in all areas of the plant supervising the operatives on shift and assist/maintain with training of the operatives.

Supervise and assist in the processing of Bio Systems waste within the plant.

Ensure compliance with site licence and other applicable legislation. Ensure adherence to BMS.

Ensure efficient use of resources, manpower and materials within the plant and make cost savings wherever possible.

Aware of the importance of quality and aim to fulfil all reasonable requests from customers.

Record any service, quality, compliance or legislative shortfalls and take the appropriate action. Ensure proper recording and processing of documentation.

Enforce outlined Standard Operational Procedures and company instructions. Observe and enforce Health & Safety Regulations, other relevant legislation and safe working practices.

Ensure effective communications across the shifts, with site management and the wider Bio Systems team.

Report equipment faults and defects of any nature to the site Maintenance and also inform the Plant Manager. Maintain quality control checks on a regular basis.

Control the order processing, from order receipt to dispatch ensuring that all documentation is filled in correctly.

All other duties deemed reasonable.

Required Education: High School or equivalent.

Preferred Education: Associate's or equivalent.

Experience (EMEAA):

2+ years of experience.

Good organisation skills and attention to detail.

Good communicator both written and verbal.

Ability to work without supervision.

Ability to manage time and complete multi tasks in line with timescales.

Reasonable knowledge of information technology especially Microsoft Excel and e-mail.

Self-motivated, reliable and enthusiastic.

A team player and motivator, able to work effectively under pressure and who is looking for a challenge.

Formal craft requirement is an advantage.

Some people management training would be an advantage.

Certifications and/or Licenses:

Forklift Driver Certification
