Full Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate has experience with Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and other accounting software. We are currently using Sage but would like to change.

We are a small office located within Warminster, Wiltshire. Our current bookkeeper is retiring after many excellent years of service.

Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
- Complete payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting
- Learn and help with the day to day running of the office

While this job is around 20 hours a week we are looking for this to be split over 4 days this can be completely flexible around school times ect.

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Proficient in using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, etc.
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of tax regulations and familiarity with payroll processes
