Full Job Description

This role will support the business change activities for DDaT Programmes and projects, agreeing scope, time, cost and quality requirements, working with Function Directors, Executive Sponsors, users and other stakeholders.

  • Support delivery of the business change implementation for IT programmes and projects

  • Support the business change activities to make sure they are understood and built into the business change programme/project plans, whilst supporting compliance with company processes and procedures, including MSP4NR.

  • Support formulation and deliver transition of plans and business readiness for project change for a specific work stream /project/programme, liaising with the relevant business functions and stakeholders

  • Deliver the programme communications and engagement strategy with the Industry Liaison and Communications manager as required, identifying any adjustments needed to expedite the embedding of business change

  • Contribute to development of and implement the assurance framework as it relates to stakeholder management and communications activities.

  • Inform, guide and support the programme training and development strategy as required

  • Report and present at a senior level, internal and external forums (including large events) on all change stakeholder management and communication activities and associated KPIs

  • Undertake and own lessons learned cycles whilst implementing quality and efficiency improvement initiatives for future enhancements

  • Support the development of the Change Network capability within DDaT to enable the network to support change implementation for Programmes and Continuous Improvement., At Network Rail, we have a number of employee networks to reflect our diverse population and help to raise issues to the wider workforce and support their membership and support our Everybody Matters strategy, led by our central Diversity & Inclusion team.     Essential

  • Proven experience in the design and delivery of a successful change programme involving people, processes and systems change.

  • Good interpersonal, negotiation, influence and presentation skills

  • Proven experience of applying a best-practice change management methodology to a programme

  • Proven experience of developing benefits realisation plans

  • Proven experience of applying programme and project methodologies (APMP, MSP)


  • Desirable
  • Change Management accreditation

  • PRINCE2 and APMP Practitioner

  • Knowledge of/experience in the UK rail industry.

  • Ability to adapt readily to changing work and responsibilities.
