We regularly work with clients within construction and ground investigation and this is one of those clients that is highly sought after. Due to growth, business acquisitions they now need to expand their team and recruit a strong BDM individual who will slip into their Northern based team. Our client has offices in various locations, primarily 1 in the city of London, and an additional large operation out of Coventry. This opportunity will work out of their Coventry office, looking at opportunities from the Midlands up and covering the North of England. Ideally we are looking for someone who has worked within construction, or more exact Ground Investigation works. Our client is heavily involved with all of the major players in this arena and have played a large part within HS2 and other large ground-works.

Day to day duties will be to manage and coordinate the Business Development and ensure you are aware of new opportunities, potential bidding and tendering work in order to secure potions on large supply panels. The role will operate out of Coventry, but there will be meetings required in London from time to time, meetings on-sites with clients, potential clients. Being available for exhibitions both to attend and view and also to host on behalf of the employer.

Community outreach in order to engage with up and coming geotechnical candidates within schools and colleges will play a vital part of this role.

Key Tasks:

Business development and also marketing involvement.

Implement and be involved with the growth strategy.

Contribute to monthly sales targets and forecast potential forward sales and budgets.

Manage current clients, awareness of their up and coming projects.

Communicate with new and current clients, service and new opportunity awareness.

Be aware of up and coming private and public sector opportunities.

Report monthly to senior management team.

The above is not exclusive and there will be additional requirements.

To be successful the right candidate must have a self-motivated approach, be-able to build relationships and build rapport with exisitng clients but also new ones. Possess the skills to know where to look for new build and construction opportunities, in order to secure the ground investigation work. Be involved in bidding and tendering, so strong analytical skills, attention to detail skills, along with excellent written skills.

Our client is open to candidate selection but ideally we are targeting someone from ground investigation, or the construction industry.

This role is hybrid and as long as the successful candidate is happy to drive to Coventry once, twice a week, location can be based within the North of England to suit.
