Full Job Description

Purpose of role: Drive strategic growth and market engagement for TCE's Offshore Wind Solutions (OWS) offering. Leveraging deep industry expertise, the Business Development Manager will shape leasing design parameters, lead market-specific aspects of leasing and tender processes, drive and manage interfaces with The Crown Estate's de-risking activities such as offshore surveys and grid connections, and foster strong customer relationships. With a focus on sustainability, this role contributes to positioning TCE as a leader in the offshore wind sector.,

  • Develop comprehensive plans for market engagement and business development, aligning with company objectives and sector trends

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business development opportunities that align with the OSW offering

  • Provide sector expertise to influence the development of leasing design parameters, ensuring alignment with industry needs

  • Manage market-specific aspects of leasing and tender processes, collaborating with ecosystem stakeholders

  • Take a leadership role in advisory services contract management, ensuring effective negotiation, execution, and fulfilment of agreements

  • Proactively manage interfaces with other workstreams (including de-risking activities), teams and group partners to ensure a coherent and joined up delivery

  • Engage with stakeholders, both internal and external, and leverage your influence to foster collaboration and drive positive outcomes

  • Cultivate strong customer relationships through effective engagement, addressing inquiries, and fostering rapport

  • Drive sustainability initiatives within business development efforts, aligning with TCE's social and environmental commitments

    Proven track record in business development, with a history of identifying and capitalising on market opportunities

  • In-depth knowledge of the offshore wind industry or a related marine or energy sector, including leasing, tender processes, technical and regulatory requirements

  • Strong strategic planning skills to develop effective market engagement plans and business development strategies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for building and maintaining customer relationships

  • Understanding of sustainability principles and their integration into business development efforts
