Full Job Description

To lead the management of pitch creations and presentation materials and implement ideas to help raise the firm's profile. We are seeking an experienced individual, with a strong background in pursuit and pitch generation.,

  • Support and challenge the legal team on the decision to respond to pitch opportunities

  • Lead pitches per the firm's best practice pitch process

  • Develop the value proposition and relevant practice group messaging to present a compelling offering to the target

  • Organize presentation rehearsals and offer advice and coaching on style, approach, messaging

  • Conduct client debriefs, to capture feedback

  • Coach, mentor, and support other members of the Marketing & Business Development team on best practice pitch techniques

  • Provide suggestions and recommendations on ways that will improve the pitch process

  • Increase our revenue, profitability, and share across markets, industries, and clients

  • Enable us to win, retain, and grow business through powerful pitches, engaging thought leadership, and strong relationship management

  • Lead market and client intelligence efforts to create new service line opportunities in industry and practice groups

  • Channel the Baker McKenzie brand, identity, and culture through a single communications voice


  • The Corporate department provides skilled M&A (public and private), capital markets, private equity, projects, reorganizations, and financial services advice, alongside traditional company law, board-level compliance, and corporate governance support, to a wide range of clients, including listed PLCs, financial institutions, and major multinational corporates. Our practice is broad, and much of what we do is cross-border.

    The London Corporate team has over 150 fee earners and business professionals and we work across 6 key industry groups: Consumer goods and retail, Energy Mining and infrastructure, Financial Institutions, Healthcare, Industrials, Manufacturing and Transportation, Technology, Media, and Telecoms.

    This role will report to the Senior BD Manager, London Corporate.

    Bachelor's degree desirable

  • Must have experience in working on international pitch documents, public tenders, and/or multi-lot frameworks is essential

  • Experience working with stakeholders and developing relationships

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to effectively co-ordinate competing priorities

  • Experience in the professional services sector is desired but not essential
