Full Job Description

Adferiad Recovery delivers a flexible and coordinated response to the exceptional circumstances faced by people with co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions and related issues. Vulnerable people facing complex life challenges need consistent and seamless support to ensure they remain engaged with vital health and wellbeing services - and to prevent them becoming disenfranchised and isolated., Under the direction of their line manager, the post holder will undertake support planning, provide one-to-one, group support and interventions to improve the lives of Carers and families affected by serious mental illness.

To equip Carers and families with skills, knowledge, and coping strategies to ensure their own well-being. This is to be achieved by visiting Carer's within their own homes, in the community, at hospital settings or Carers groups established across Anglesey, thus enabling Carers to manage the impact of their caring role.

To work in partnership with other statutory, voluntary, private sector organisations and community facilities to ensure Carers can access other existing services.

The service also offers a time limited support service to the cared for, during which time the staff member will work with them to help identify their support needs, signpost them on to relevant services and offer some group work. In turn this will allow the carers to have some short respite opportunities.

If you think you might have these skills, but are not 100% sure, please do still apply and let us decide. We know that certain groups rule themselves out of interesting opportunities assuming that others will be more successful, but please don't be that person. We want to hear from the widest cross section of the community.

Adferiad Recovery welcomes applications from everyone with the right to work in the UK, and values diversity in the workplace.

All employees are required to act inclusively to encourage, promote, and cultivate our values, (such as rights affirming and cultural diversity).

Working towards becoming a Rights Affirming organisation, we actively encourage applications from people where the Person Specification calls for a particular qualification or experience, we will consider waiving these requirements if an applicant who could not achieve them because of a disability can demonstrate he/she would be capable of performing well in the job and fulfils the criteria in other respects.
