Full Job Description

Your duties will include:

  • Assist with the preparation and planning of meal designs.

  • Ensure that kitchen activities operate in a timely manner.

  • Resolve customer problems and concerns personally.

  • Monitor and record inventory, and if necessary, order new supplies.

  • Provide support to junior kitchen employees with various tasks including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.

  • Adhere to and implement sanitation regulations and safety regulations.

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and hardworking qualified Chef to join our team, full time in our Award-Winning Orange Tree Restaurant in Pugh's Garden Centre in Wenvoe., Our ideal candidate is a creative professional with a passion for food, who is willing to participate in creating delicious seasonal menus and meal designs in a long established, thriving family run business.


    • You should have excellent communication skills with proven experience and an in-depth knowledge of several cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and processes and a creative mind.,
  • A creative flair with ingredients and passion for food

  • An ability to stay calm in high-pressure situations

  • First rate culinary skills

  • Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices.

  • Teamwork-oriented with outstanding leadership abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Able to provide references


    • Desired qualification/experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.

  • Health and safety and food hygiene certificates level 2, we will upskill to level 3 post probationary period.

    Sociable day time hours | 5:30pm finish daily | Up to £12.50 per hour, As a permanent employee of Pugh's, after passing your probation period you will be entitled to the following
