Exceptional care are seeking individuals to support young people on a 1:1 or 2:1 staffing ratio, in a Residential setting in Skelmersdale

Who are Exceptional Care?

Exceptional Care is a therapeutic children's service providing care and support to children and young people aged 8-17, from complex backgrounds, who display challenging behaviour and EBD. The service is an independent social care organisation with multiple residential units across the whole of the North West.,

  • Level 3 or 4 Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent - or willing to work towards

  • 1 years' experience supporting young people in a children's residential setting

  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence - preferred


  • Your role as a Residential Child Care Worker:

    You will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people, and help towards the bright future they deserve; attending to their practical, physical and emotional needs. Safeguarding each young person at all times.

    You will provide a high standard of care and support, in a professional manner, to vulnerable young people, with challenging behaviour and emotional behavioural difficulties.

    You will develop a good working relationship with both children and young people and other outside agencies, and be the person that each child can trust through building positive relationships.

    You will be part of a team who work together to create a loving, stable environment to ensure each young person is achieving positive outcomes and learning experiences.

    Exceptional Care is a children's care home provider based in the Northwest of England. We work with children from ages 8 to 17 years with complex needs.
