Cleaning Operative

We are seeking an experienced Cleaning Operative to join our team at a HMP Eastwood Park, a closed category adult female prison.

This position can be worked 4.5 hours per day, within the hours of 0800 to 1600 so could work around school or childcare commitments.

HMP Eastwood Park runs like a self-contained city, it takes hundreds of people to keep it functioning, and as the Facilities Maintenance Team we are committed and driving the smooth and safe operation, like a heart that pumps blood through the body, everything we do impacts every prisoner, employee, and visitor, and wider to the families and community.

As a Cleaning Operative you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, and others, who are all dedicated to making a positive difference, providing a safe and secure environment for all.

We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and are looking for a Cleaning Operative with a combination of:
- Experience of working within a cleaning environment
- Knowledge of COSHH
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
