Full Job Description
- Operating of CNC with 3-Axis & 5-Axis precision.
- Study technical drawings to ensure production plans are followed to the correct specifications.
- Programming CAD drawings into Maestro software.
- Working with the following materials: softwood, hardwood, MDF, MFC, Block core doors, chip board doors, Trespa, melamine, Formica faced sheets.
- Importing drawings in DXF format.
- Creating new jigs using dowels and cams.
- Set up tooling and fixtures for production runs.
- Manage stock of tooling items.
- Daily production management and scheduling.
- Daily machinery maintenance.
- Comply with Health and Safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Vital communication with other team members to ensure efficient transition between process stages to obtain the high-quality end result.
Knowledge of running and setting CNC Machines with woodwork materials - Ability to read and interpret drawings.
- Knowledge of programming software and woodwork machines.
- Background in fire doors, furniture, and product design.
- High personal standards of work and presentation.
- Excellent planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
- Attention to product detail with a high-quality execution.
- Understanding of tolerances and quality requirements, A positive and enthusiastic work ethic.
- Have an initiative-taking attitude and demonstrate flexibility.
- The willingness to learn and develop.
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail and problem solving to improve processes and efficiency.
- Comfortable working with lead times.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machine.
- At least 2 years proven experience of programming and running CNC Machines in the wood industry or be able to demonstrate significant transferrable skills from similar machinery.
