We are looking to recruit an experienced Lawyer to join our Construction team and be part of our wider Real Estate practice. Ideally with a mix of experience of non-contentious and contentious work.

The successful candidate:

  • Will be a proactive and self-motivated construction lawyer ideally with a mixed experience of non-contentious and contentious work (although non-contentious only will be considered).

  • Will have experience in and work on a variety of cases ranging from development across various asset classes (mixed use, residential, commercial, BTR, hotels, student, industrial) to corporate occupier acquisitions and disposals and property finance across the UK.

  • Will have proven PQE experience in non-contentious construction law and ideally experience in construction disputes work also.

  • Will have a strong academic background or equivalent

  • Has the ambition and aptitude to join a new team and be instrumental in supporting the team's development and strategic growth plans.

  • Will offer exceptional client care.

  • Has excellent drafting skills and attention to detail.

  • Has excellent analytical, communication, organisational and time management skills.

  • Has a strong sense of commerciality in approach and advice to clients

  • Has a desire to engage in regular marketing and profile raising activities, both internally across the firm and externally.

  • Has strong leadership skills.

  • Has a commitment to regularly update their own technical expertise and to achieve continuous improvement and development.

  • Has the ability to contribute to the general upkeep of the group (e.g training, precedents, or know-how generally).

    Personal independence

    Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships).
