Full Job Description

  • Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.

  • Experience of proposition building and delivery.

  • Currently working in a major Consulting firm, and / or in industry but having a Consulting background.

  • You'll bring extensive digital manufacturing experience gained through either operational and change leadership roles in industry, or through delivering major consulting assignments for consulting organisations into Aerospace and Defence Manufacturing clients.

  • You will either already have SC (Security Clearance) to work in the Defence and Security Industries, or you will qualify for this level of clearance by being a UK resident for at least 5 years and not having lived outside of the UK within the past 5 years.


  • Experience in Manufacturing and Operations :
  • Manufacturing operations and processes, decision making, shift management and lean teams

  • Engineering and asset management

  • Process excellence in operations, quality or test, lean 6 sigma improvements

  • Change management across multiple manufacturing sites

  • Aerospace & Defence commercial acumen


  • Understanding of Digital Manufacturing in some of the following :
  • Use of IOT sources for data and analytics

  • Digital manufacturing and process transformation

  • Manufacturing execution systems

  • Product Lifecycle Management

  • The model-based enterprise including MBSE

  • Digital twin and thread

  • Solutions addressing sustainability in Engineering, Manufacturing and Operations

  • You will be able to demonstrate an active, well-informed knowledge of manufacturing trends in defence manufacturing and have an opinion on key trends

    As a key member of our Manufacturing Sector Unit, you'll closely collaborate with our Digital Engineering capability team, combining deep knowledge of digital technologies like PLM, MES, digital twin, and IoT with expert consulting skills to drive innovation for our clients.

    Working alongside talented colleagues, you'll drive comprehensive improvements in profitability, efficiency, quality, and behavior.

    You'll develop new skills that complement your existing expertise, making a lasting impact for both Capgemini and our clients.

    Your work will involve multi-disciplinary teams, covering various activities such as strategic planning, project analysis, thought leadership, and professional growth, ensuring a dynamic and rewarding experience.

    In this role, your primary responsibility is to create and implement innovative digital transformation solutions for top Defense Manufacturing companies.

    You'll collaborate with Capgemini and clients to address their specific challenges and turn digital concepts into practical solutions.

    You'll play a vital role in shaping the future of digital manufacturing and bring these ideas to life for our clients.

    Because of the client's needs, extensive travel will be necessary.

    Business Development Leading / contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
