Full Job Description

  • Assist with the design and development of major programmes (including programme strategy and set up, portfolio/ programme delivery, and commercial and contract management)


  • Designing and implementing Target Operating Models


  • Working with C-Suite executives to implement transformational change


  • Defining and establishing organisation capability


  • Digital transformation: enabling major programmes to adopt latest technology and develop capability to use deep data insights, analytics and robotics for better control and efficient delivery


  • Lead and support transformation workstreams including the development of engagement plans, managing critical paths and interdependencies between workstreams that are implementing change across major programmes.


  • Manage/support progress reporting, risk management and financial controls in relation to the programme or workstream.


  • Produce project deliverables in line with the engagement plan.


  • Support the growth of client relationships, identifying new opportunities within both existing and new clients, and supporting proposals to win work.


  • Support the development of our propositions, solutions and methods, and industry points of view.


  • Demonstrate excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills across all levels of client and Deloitte stakeholders

    We are looking to grow our Transport practice, with a particular focus on op model and/or digital capability and therefore you should have strong experience in most of the following:


  • More than three years of experience working in Transport to demonstrate industry knowledge and expertise, bringing lessons learnt and insights to clients and the wider Deloitte group.


  • Delivery model and/or operating model design and transformation.


  • Digital transformation: enabling major programmes to adopt latest technology and develop capability to use deep data insights, analytics and robotics for better control and efficient delivery.


  • Proven record of advising major programmes across the public sector.


  • Preferred, but not required, experience in delivering roles across major/ large-scale programmes in public or private sectors, including:

  • Programme strategy, including; strategic transformation, strategy definition and planning, delivery strategy, or business case development.

  • Programme set up, including; delivery model design, operating model design and transformation, commercial model structure, stakeholder management, transformation, or modelling of programme outcomes.

  • Programme delivery, including; portfolio, programme and project management, programme controls, programme assurance, risk management, or operational readiness.

  • Programme recovery, including executive level engagement, recovery planning, or experience reshaping programmes.

  • Commercial and contract management, including commercial and procurement strategy, supply chain and operations readiness, contract management, or commercial modelling.


  • Ability to develop and manage and present to client/stakeholders at all levels in an organisation


  • Problem solving, attention to details, creative thinking, and analytical skills


  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams, and fast-paced project environments


  • Ability to develop and manage client and stakeholder relationships at all levels in an organisation


  • Self-starting with high degree of personal motivation and drive


  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form lasting relationships with both team members and clients

    The focus for this role will be within the Transport industry in Public Sector., Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception.
