About the role CDS Defence and Security are seeking a Consultant/Senior Human Factors practitioner to support the growth of their Human Factors Integration (HFI) business, we are looking to recruit a high calibre Human Factors professional to join our team. As a member of the team, you will manage and lead Human Factors work packages, ensuring quality technical delivery. You will develop and maintain client relationships and help to mentor and support junior members of staff. Your day-to-day tasks will vary from working in multi-disciplinary teams on major programmes to carrying out specialised work on an individual basis, therefore you need to be able to demonstrate good communication skills and will be required to collaborate across disciplines and departments. We are recruiting for a Senior Human Factor Engineer who holds a breadth of technical knowledge within human factors. You will have with the ability to develop Human Factors strategies for complex projects, from both a
technical and commercial perspective. Collaborate with business managers to cultivate and sustain client relationships. Play a crucial role in formulating growth strategies and enhancing the core capabilities of the Human Factors team. Oversee the technical delivery of projects, including defining Human Factors work scope and assisting with bid submissions. Provide mentorship and coaching to junior team members within the team. Work collaboratively with the team to strategically shape the future of Human Factors at CDS DS. Demonstrate drive and passion to contribute to the growth of the company in Human Factors. Proactively identify and pursue opportunities and challenges. This role can be commutable to our Cheltenham office or hybrid, occasional travel to client's sites will be required.

Experience of conducting quantitative and qualitative human error and reliability assessments. Current valid UK SC clearance or willingness to become security cleared is essential for this role due to the nature of the business.
