Contracts Manager

As a Contracts Manager at DRT Solar, the right candidate, will oversee complex projects which involve technologies specialising in design, development and delivery of industrial scale Solar PV projects. They will ensure that contracts are delivered safely, on programme, to budget and to the client at the highest industry standards.,

• Manage pre-contract meetings along with members of the commercial team.


• Understand contractual obligations and client requirements for performance and delivery of projects.


• Manage all aspects of the contracts with the aid of the Project Managers and the Technical Director.


• Work with the Product and Engineering teams to design and build tools to assist with the surveying and installation of solar PV and battery storage.


• Ensure that internal quality management systems are kept accurate and up to date.


• Travel to installations within the UK as required.


• Approve construction programmes.


• Review and approve inspection and testing plans and commissioning programmes.


• Ensure QA procedures are followed, projects are defect free and successfully completed.


• Support project teams to produce health and safety plans taking overall responsibility.


• Attend Commercial Reviews and produce contract status reports.


• Review systems and methods when required to improve contract performance.


• Ensure O&M manuals are produced and issued in accordance with the project requirements.


• Work closely with clients to further develop relationships and promote the company.


• Engage with potential clients to build relationships working with the bid team to secure future work.
  
  · HND or Degree level in either a Mechanical, Electrical or Construction discipline


• NVQ Level 3, AM2 and 18th edition electrical qualifications, or equivalent


• 2399-13, LCL SPV-3 or equivalent (e.g. BPEC)


• HV/AP 15 - SAP, or equivalent


Any experience in the following areas would be an advantage:

• Working as a Contracts Manager with a Senior Project Manager


• Contracts Management from within the building services industry


• Solar design software e.g. one of OpenSolar, PVSol, PVSyst, or similar operating environments


• Knowledge of all MS Office, CAD and proprietary workflow software
