Control Porter

Here\\'s what you need to know before applying:Your key responsibilities will include:

• Ensure and maintain high standards of hygiene in areas of direct control.


• Ensure to report for duty in good time and promote a high standard of personal grooming, wearing the correct uniform and, following STHK and Medirest Infection Prevention Control Policy.


• Monitor standards and seek continuous improvement in service delivery to provide a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.


• Issuing requests to be carried out, communicating with Bed Managers prioritising job list and supporting to complete requests when required


• Fully compliant with all STHK and Medirest software systems in place carrying out training when required for any updates.


• Ensure correct logging and closing of all Rapid Response requests via Vinci FM's Maximo system and the STHK Domestic Dashboard system.


• Report any issues with decontamination systems to provider ensuring all training completed and fully compliant in use.


• Raising any issues to Domestic Manager/Supervisor.


• Undertake on-the-job training as necessary, to maintain and improve standards as identified. This includes training on Vinci FM's Maximo system and STHK's Domestic Dashboard system.


• Ensure that correct procedures are undertaken in relation to the use of decontamination cleaning machinery following all procedures and safety checks.


• Knowledgeable of Infection Control policies.


• Maintenance issues to be reported as identified.


• Medirest's policies and procedures is to be applied and adhered to, including absence management.


• Report any accidents or near misses as per procedure to Domestic Supervisors/Manager.


• Comply with all Health and Safety training and legislation which is laid out in the Company's Health and Safety training, (COSSH and training procedures to be adhered to).


• Develop good lines of communication and relationships at all levels within your team and with other colleagues, stakeholders, patients, and visitors.


• Perform any reasonable and practical instructions as requested by the Supervisor/Manager, appropriate to the needs of service requirements.


• Follow security guidance and procedures for the area as directed.
  
  To possess good verbal and written communication skills .


• Ability to achieve and deliver high standards of customer care


• Organise day-to-day work tasks for domestic rapid response teams
