Cook / Kitchen hand

We're looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join our team here at Mendip Golf Club. If you love to cook and are passionate about food, and happy to learn this could be the role for you. The majority of the time we shut early evening with the occasional function every now and again that finishes a bit later, so if you are looking for a better work / life balance please get in touch for a chat.

What you'll be doing

You'll work with the Head Chef and the team to prepare delicious food. With your attention to detail you'll ensure each dish is fresh, tasty and presented well every time.

As a key member of our team, you'll make sure the team is working effectively to deliver great results.

You'll help the Food & Beverage team ensure our kitchens are presented to the highest standard and are compliant with all relevant legislation around food hygiene and COSHH.,

• Prepare all food items as directed


• Follow recipes and presentation specifications


• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently


• Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards


• Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment


• Restock items as needed throughout the shift


• Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards


Additional Duties:

• Recording food temperatures


• Preparing reports
