Full Job Description

We're looking for a passionate Corporate Tax Manager to join us on a 12-month FTC in our UK Corporate Tax team! You'll support the delivery of the Corporation Tax compliance programme to ensure the group meets its statutory filing and payment obligations and, for licensed entities, our regulatory reporting obligations.

This role is based out of our Warwick office, and we'd hope to see you at least two days per week but you're welcome to be in the office more often if that would work best for you. We're happy to discuss any additional flexibility in working patterns or requirements that you feel could help to make this job work for you!

What You'll Do

  • Deliver the Group's corporate tax compliance programme including:

  • + Corporate tax returns for a portfolio of UK Companies.
    + Budgeting and quarterly forecasting for those same portfolios of companies.
  • Preparation of tax disclosures for annual statutory and management accounts purposes, including analysing the tax impact of accounting developments.

  • Maintain appropriate tax risk procedures to mitigate against uncertain tax liabilities consistent with the Group's Tax Risk Management Strategy.

  • Support the Group Tax team in relation to year end processes (journalling and settlements) and disclosures (e.g., TTC, CBCR)

  • Support other departmental risk management processes which may at any time include the annual Senior Accounting Officer reporting process and other CFO risk and/ or business continuity initiatives.

  • Support the transition of the tax function towards a fully digital function and readiness for Making Tax Digital for Corporation Tax.

  • Support the Senior Corporate Tax Manager to ensure that any business development activities and growth strategies are undertaken subject to the appropriate tax advice.

  • Act as an advisor and partner to the business on corporate tax matters keeping close links with the business to identify any early stage any areas of concern.

    Recognised accountancy and/ or tax qualification.

  • Strong background in UK Corporation Tax.

  • Proven tax accounting and reporting skills.

  • Experience of working collaboratively (e.g., business partnering) across a large business.

  • An interest in automation and related tools (e.g., Power BI, Alteryx, other analytical processes)

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

    Up to £75,000 dependent on experience.

    Plus:
