Full Job Description

We are looking for a Credit Controller to join our finance team. You will be at the forefront of ensuring sales are converted to profit through proactive communication with customers and business stakeholders. The role encompasses the day-to-day management of outstanding balances as well as the administration involved in credit risk management.

This is an exciting time to be joining St Austell Brewery and the finance team, as we evolve of our ways of working to ensure maximum efficiency. The successful candidate will get a buzz from sharing original ideas, challenging at all levels to help drive the business forward.

The Role

  • Working closely with the wider finance team, key tasks will include:

  • Setting credit limits and assessing credit risk

  • Providing financial, administrative, and clerical support to the business including reviewing debt reports with sales/business development managers

  • Proactively following up arrears

  • Investigating and resolving any enquiries or irregularities causing payments to be delayed

  • Continuing to improve processes and procedures

  • Preparing analyses of accounts

    Credit risk experience

  • Ability to analyse and interpret data using a variety of tools

  • An effective communicator, able to escalate issues when required

  • Inquisitive and enjoy problem solving

  • Experience of MS Office suite including Excel

  • Strong team player, with an ability to work supervised and with your own initiative
