Full Job Description

Emerging Futures works across the country to support people affected by homelessness, addiction, and mental health challenges.

We're searching for a Criminal Justice worker who wants to make a positive change for people in their community.

About The Role

As the Criminal Justice Worker, you will support people leaving prison to settle back into society and help them achieve their goals by facilitating rehabilitation groups.

You will support people to improve their wellbeing and develop recovery networks in Kirklees, encouraging participation in mutual aid, aftercare and other recovery services., We would be grateful if you could complete the Equal Opportunities Form attached along with your Application Form to help monitor the effectiveness of our recruitment practices and assess the success of different advertising methods in attracting applications.

  • You will have some experience working in a criminal justice role, but we will provide you with the knowledge and training you need to work with clients in a holistic and person-centred way.

  • You are committed, approachable, and non-judgemental - someone self-motivated who can deliver your best to service users.

  • You are a problem solver who likes to see things through to the end.

  • Patience and resilience will come naturally to you. You should have good interpersonal and listening skills as you will be supporting people with sometimes challenging issues.

  • Above all, you will be enthusiastic and have a genuine desire to support people to transform their lives., If successful in securing an interview we will need to ask you about any unspent convictions as part of our duty of care. A criminal conviction will not necessarily prevent you from being offered a role; the decision will depend on the type of offence and its relevance to the role. All of our roles require a criminal record check.
