Full Job Description
Due to probation funding we now have an opportunity to recruit a Criminal Justice Group Worker on a Fixed Term Contract., As directed by the service manager, you will be an integral member of a dynamic multi agency team, using your abilities and skills to:
- Develop and deliver a range of group work interventions and activities
- Communicate effectively with a range of people
- Support service users to make decisions regarding their treatment & recovery
- Support service users to access resources and services to increase their recovery capital to help them achieve their recovery goal.
You will specialise in delivering groups to people going through the criminal justice system who have been given an Alcohol Treatment Requirement (ATR) or a Drug Rehabilitation Requirement (DRR). You will also support groups coming out of prison to readjust back into society and help them achieve their goals.

Are you passionate about making a difference? This is an exciting role, based at 5 Ways Recovery Academy (Aftercare element of Forward Leeds)
The successful applicant will join a team of experienced group work facilitators and will be required to support adults leaving treatment, providing support through a range of group work interventions, encouraging peer support and various activities to support people moving forward into recovery., Humankind is a vibrant and growing charity with over 30 years' of experience working with individuals, families and communities affected by health and social inequalities across the country with a focus on improving people's well-being. Humankind is one of England's most successful home-grown charities. We have over 1,100 staff and around 100 volunteers providing services for over 20,000 people.
