Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for 2 enthusiastic individuals to join the Children and Young Person's team at The Benjamin Foundation as Detached Youth Workers. This project will offer detached (street based) youth work, a programme of positive activity days and some administration work for the project., We have been using the DBS service for many years. As a large homecare provider, Will and Liz do a lot of checks for us and they are amazing - they really know what they're talking about and are always helpful. The service is seamless.

  • I have a good working relationship with Nigel in Payroll, he helps us out a lot with advice, with sometimes complex issues. He is approachable, always responds quickly and I trust him implicitly.

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working with young people

  • A working knowledge of the needs of children and young people

  • Knowledge of appropriate Professional Boundaries and ability to lone work

  • Excellent communication skills

  • A driver with access to their own vehicle
